Our Mission

To preserve, protect, and promote the history, historical sites/structures, and the future of Texas 66 by
promoting the enjoyment, knowledge, and historical value of Texas 66 to the communities it connects,
for present and future travelers.

 

What We’ve Achieved

  • Helped bring Tesla charging stations to the
    U Drop Inn in Shamrock.

  • Designated the length of Route 66 through Texas as a Historic Corridor.

  • Hosted the 2018 International Route 66 Festival
    in Shamrock.

  • Restored the 1928 Phillips station and Gas Pumps in Mclean Tx.

  • Hosted a “paint party” work day in Adrian to assist with the season opening of the MidPoint Cafe and Gift Shop.

  • Assisted with and organized multiple clean-up events along the Texas length of 66.
